Artist Residencies and Collaborations

Darpana thrives on the exchange of ideas, talent, and cultures - that's why we welcome artists from around the world to work with us in creating new work, learning from and teaching Darpana’s own artists, and showcasing new creations in our Natarani theatre.

For the past two decades, Darpana has participated in two residency programs – the UNESCO-Aschberg Residency Program and the Asialink residency program – to bring artists from around the world to learn and collaborate with Darpana. Artists from over 15 different countries have worked with Darpana to create new works.

Many of the pieces created through these residencies have debuted at the InterArt: The Vikram Sarabhai International Arts Festival.
